The board’s Nevada Gaming Abstract – 2025 indicates that the state's 305 casinos, each generating at least $1 million in gaming revenue, collectively produced a net income of $1,697,540,577 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. Total revenue for these casinos reached $30,817,837,749 during this period, according to a report from Fox 5.
When compared to fiscal year 2024, total revenue saw a slight decline of 2.2%, while gaming revenue dipped by 0.6% to $11,216,361,427, accounting for 36.4% of the overall revenue.
In terms of taxation, casinos contributed $1,140,863,260 in gaming taxes and fees, which is approximately 10.2% of their gaming revenue.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board defines total revenue as the total amount spent by customers on gaming, accommodations, dining, beverages, and other entertainment options. Net income is the amount retained after all expenses are settled, excluding federal income taxes and extraordinary costs.
Specifically, the Las Vegas Strip generated total revenue of $21,077,838,684 in fiscal year 2025, reflecting a 3.7% decrease from the previous year. Gaming revenue from the Strip also fell by 3.7%, amounting to $5,509,848,670, while net income plummeted to $154,188,391, marking an 81.2% drop from fiscal year 2024, the steepest decline among Nevada's key gaming markets.
In Clark County, the 177 casinos reported a combined net income of $1,502,015,332 from total revenue of $27,819,649,481. Gaming revenue in the county was $9,649,547,734, down 1.1% from the previous fiscal year, with net income decreasing by 34.7% and total revenue dropping by 2.5%.
Within Clark County, Downtown Las Vegas casinos recorded a net income of $159,192,147, which is a 20.2% decrease from fiscal year 2024. The downtown area generated total revenue of $1,621,861,159, a slight increase of 0.7%, while gaming revenue rose by 1.8% to $812,244,965.
The Boulder Strip reported net income of $375,084,534, with total revenue increasing by 0.2% to $1,255,339,273 and gaming revenue up by 1.2% to $860,794,501.
Other areas in Clark County saw varied results, with the balance generating net income of $868,337,288, total revenue rising by 3.2% to $3,224,044,329, and gaming revenue increasing by 4.7% to $2,118,385,618.
In contrast, Laughlin experienced a net loss of $54,787,028, a stark contrast to the previous year's positive results. Total revenue in this market fell by 2.1% to $640,566,036, while gaming revenue decreased by 3.0% to $348,273,980.
Washoe County's 34 casinos reported a combined net income of $84,853,787 from total revenue of $1,691,284,605, reflecting a 50.0% decline in net income, despite a 0.5% increase in total revenue. Gaming revenue rose by 1.9% to $766,364,938.
In Washoe County, Reno-Sparks casinos generated a net income of $47,006,800, down 62.7%, from total revenue of $1,499,926,375, with gaming revenue increasing by 1.9% to $660,336,711.
Elko County's 22 casinos reported net income of $93,294,672 from total revenue of $472,578,333, showing a 1.6% increase in net income, while gaming revenue rose by 5.0% to $319,434,467.
The Wendover market achieved a net income of $75,454,800, with total revenue of $302,630,775 and gaming revenue of $194,795,795. Both net income and gaming revenue saw slight increases of 1.2% and 0.4%, respectively.
In the Carson Valley Area, 15 casinos reported net income of $24,298,814 from total revenue of $186,241,589, with total revenue rising by 4.3% and gaming revenue increasing by 5.3% to $127,685,195. Net income grew by 2.0%.
The remaining areas of the state generated a net income of $43,138,564 from total revenue of $273,660,337, with gaming revenue totaling $187,397,089. Overall, total revenue increased by 1.6%, gaming revenue rose by 2.0%, while net income saw a decline of 6.2%.
In Douglas County, South Shore Lake Tahoe, which comprises seven licensed establishments, reported a net loss of $50,060,592. The market generated total revenue of $374,423,404 and gaming revenue of $165,932,004, with total revenue down by 3.7% and gaming revenue decreasing by 3.9%.
As per the Nevada Gaming Abstract – 2025, 52 casinos owned by public companies accounted for a significant portion of the state's gaming revenue.
