The cricket league The Hundred in the UK has permitted teams to sign gambling sponsors for the 2026 season, as reported by The Telegraph.
With just 12 days left before the start of the family-friendly tournament, three out of eight teams are still without a title sponsor for their playing kits. Starting in 2027, the league council will impose a complete ban on gambling sponsorships on team uniforms.
The council has allowed such deals only as a last resort and with a contract amount not lower than a set threshold. Any player can opt out of displaying a gambling sponsor's logo on their kit for personal reasons, and logos will not appear on the uniforms of players under 18 or on children's replicas.
