The government of Kazakhstan has established a tax of 3.3% on every accepted bet made by bookmakers or totalizators. This decision was formalized in government resolution No. 167, dated March 12.
The distribution of the collected funds is as follows:
- 45% to a single operator for the development of physical culture and sports
- 21% to the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan for the development of Olympic sports
- 21% to the public fund Kazakhstan Halqyna
- 13% for the operation of the unified accounting system (EUS)
This document will come into effect on March 27, 2026.
