The prosecutor's office of the Koksu district in the Zhetysu region of Kazakhstan has reported the discovery of systematic participation by two government officials in gambling activities via a mobile application from an unnamed operator.
According to the investigation, the total amount deposited into their gaming accounts exceeded 7.7 million tenge (approximately $16,900).
The violations were uncovered during a review of compliance with anti-corruption restrictions and measures aimed at preventing gambling addiction. Both officials have been suspended from their positions, with one having led the district department for over 20 years.
