In court, Fraser's defense connected the case to his gambling addiction. He had raised funds from parents and children for the under-16 team's participation in the Copa Daurada tournament in Spain. However, he only paid the entry fee and transferred the remaining amount to his bank account without returning it, leading to the cancellation of the trip.
The judge described the incident as a breach of trust and warned of a possible prison sentence, noting that he would consider alternatives depending on the steps Fraser takes to repay the money. Sentencing has been postponed until next month for the preparation of character reports on the defendant.
