AGEM Index Rises 8.2% in June 2026 Amid Mixed Market Trends

In June 2026, the AGEM Index experienced a notable increase of 128.94 points, reaching a total of 1,707.15. This marks an 8.2% rise compared to the previous month, driven by stock price gains from five out of the nine companies included in the index. The monthly performance highlighted a balance of five positive contributions versus four negative ones.

Leading the positive contributors was Aristocrat Leisure Limited, whose stock surged by 22.3%, contributing 136.32 points to the index. Crane NXT, Co. also played a significant role, with a stock price increase of 31.7%, adding 27.95 points.

On the downside, Konami Corp. emerged as the largest negative contributor, with its stock price falling by 6.7%, which resulted in a decrease of 37.50 points for the AGEM Index.

The overall performance occurred during a mixed month for major U.S. stock indices. While the NASDAQ dropped by 2.8% and the S&P 500 saw a decline of 1.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average managed to rise by 2.5%.

Despite the monthly gain, the AGEM Index remains lower than it was a year ago, showing a decline of 196.14 points, or 10.3%, when compared to June 2025.

The AGEM Index is produced by the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers and tracks the performance of nine global gaming suppliers. Among these, five are based in the United States and listed on the NYSE, Nasdaq, or OTC markets, while three are traded on the Australian exchange and one on the Tokyo exchange.

This index is calculated based on each company's stock price at the end of the month, adjusted for dividends and stock splits, and weighted according to market capitalization estimates. For companies trading on foreign exchanges, market capitalizations are converted to U.S. dollar equivalents at month-end for consistency.

Since its inception in January 2005, the AGEM Index has been anchored at a value of 100 points. It’s important to note that company stock prices and index contributions may be subject to revisions due to stock splits, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate actions.
