The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is rapidly taking shape, with the impressive 42-story Guitar Hotel now mostly enveloped in blue-tinted glass and protective sheathing on its lower levels.
Meanwhile, window installations are progressing on the former Mirage hotel’s tri-tower, which is undergoing a complete interior overhaul as construction advances throughout the Strip resort.
Having reached its peak this spring, the Guitar Hotel will boast 675 hotel rooms and suites upon completion. This ambitious $4 billion resort complex, the most prominent project on the Strip, is slated to open in the latter half of 2027.
Once operational, the resort is anticipated to offer around 3,600 hotel rooms, nearly 175,000 square feet of gaming space, two spas, multiple swimming pools, live entertainment venues, and a variety of dining, lounge, and retail options.
Owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, Hard Rock acquired the previous Mirage property from MGM Resorts International for $1 billion in December 2022. The renowned 3,000-room resort was shut down in July 2024 to facilitate a comprehensive redevelopment that aligns with the Hard Rock brand.
Construction commenced in the summer of 2024 and has already provided jobs for over 5,000 workers. The finished resort will include the renovated Mirage tower and more than 200,000 square feet dedicated to meetings and conventions, alongside redesigned pools, new dining and shopping experiences, and a workforce of approximately 6,000 employees.
