On April 9, journalists from the publication Futurism discovered that Google News was displaying contracts from the prediction market platform Polymarket alongside articles from leading global media outlets.
Following this revelation, The Verge reached out to Google for a comment. Company representative Ned Adrians stated that the direct links to Polymarket appeared in Google News by mistake, and the company has since removed them from the search results.
