The Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ) has announced the election of George Goldhoff, the President and CEO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, as its new president.
Goldhoff takes over from Mark Giannantonio, who has served as president for nearly four years while leading Resorts Casino Hotel.
Expressing his gratitude, Goldhoff stated, "It is an honor to assume the role of president of the Casino Association of New Jersey and to build upon the solid foundation established by Mark Giannantonio. The casino sector in Atlantic City is crucial to our state's economy, contributing to job creation, investment, and attracting visitors from various regions."
He further added, "I am eager to collaborate with our members, local officials, and state leaders to enhance this momentum and reinforce Atlantic City’s status as a premier resort destination."
With over 30 years of experience in hospitality, gaming, and entertainment, Goldhoff joined Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in January 2023. Before this, he was the president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati, where he led a complete rebranding and achieved three years of significant growth, establishing it as Ohio's leading gaming venue.
Goldhoff's career also includes serving on the board of Chatters Salons, Canada’s largest hair-care chain, and as president/CEO of PURE Canadian Gaming, both affiliated with the private equity firm ONCAP/ONEX. He played a key role in the launch of Bellagio Las Vegas and was the general manager at Gold Strike Casino Resort.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Goldhoff is active in community service, serving on the boards of The Leadership Studio and Stockton University’s Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism, where he supports initiatives in politics, arts, and healthcare. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MBA from Columbia University.
