FIFA has mandated that 10 out of 11 stadiums hosting the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico temporarily change their sponsor names to geographical names and remove logos of all companies except FIFA's official partners.
For instance, Hard Rock Stadium will be renamed Miami Stadium, and AT&T Stadium will become Dallas Stadium, as reported by In Game.
Among the affected stadiums, six have existing partnerships with operators and lotteries, including DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, BetRivers, Caesars Entertainment, WinStar World Casino, Muckleshoot Casino Resort, Pechanga Resort Casino, Wynn Las Vegas, Kansas Lottery, and Pennsylvania Lottery.
Hard Rock International will have to physically cover the signage at the stadium, while FanDuel can simply turn off the digital scoreboard at Lincoln Financial Field. The only partial exception after 18 months of negotiations is for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, which will retain its logo on the retractable roof, as removing it could damage the structure. However, the stadium will still be renamed Atlanta Stadium.
Additionally, FIFA has appointed Stat Perform as the official betting data provider and intermediary for licensed bookmakers in the USA.
