The British iGaming holding company Entain, known for its brands such as bwin, Coral, Ladbrokes, PartyPoker, and Sportingbet, has agreed to sell a 20% stake in Entain CEE to its partner, the Czech investment firm EMMA Capital, for $484 million. This transaction is part of Entain's phased exit from the Central and Eastern European region.
Entain CEE includes bookmakers STS from Poland and SuperSport from Croatia, and the deal values the joint venture at $2.4 billion.
Upon the closure of the deal in Q4 2026, which is subject to regulatory approval, Entain's stake will decrease from 67.5% to 47.5%, while EMMA's stake will increase from 22.5% to 42.5%, granting them control over the joint venture. The proceeds from this sale will be used to reduce debt, and Entain plans to fully exit Entain CEE in the future.
