In Indonesia, the financial regulator OJK announced during a press conference at the end of March 2026 that it has blocked 33,252 bank accounts suspected of being linked to online gambling. This marks an increase of 696 accounts from the previous total of 32,556.
The OJK has mandated the country's banking sector to implement Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures to identify such accounts effectively.
