Duel Casino, a crypto gaming platform, has recently come under fire for releasing an AI-generated video featuring streamer Sneako, who has 131.5k followers on Kick. In the video, Sneako, who has converted to Islam, is seen performing a prayer at a blackjack table.
Following a wave of criticism, the casino operator issued an apology and terminated the employment of live blackjack dealer Nelly. Nelly had previously posted selfies on her X profile that included Nazi symbols and anti-Semitic remarks.
In their statement, Duel acknowledged that the video was entirely created by their content team and described the juxtaposition of Islamic imagery with gambling as a mistake. They promised to enhance their content quality control measures.
Additionally, Duel's ambassador and influencer Clavicular confirmed during a live call with Sneako on Kick that Nelly was the creator of the controversial video. Sneako himself expressed strong disapproval of the operator on his X profile, while Nelly confirmed her dismissal.
