In a recent episode of the YouTube show '50 Questions' hosted by Karen Adamyan, designer Artemy Lebedev discussed his stance on working with bookmakers. He firmly stated that he would not enter into such collaborations, despite the potential to earn around one billion rubles as the face of a betting company.
Lebedev expressed his disdain for the gambling industry, labeling it as murky and bandit-like. He emphasized that he does not want to assist unscrupulous individuals. Interestingly, he showed a positive attitude towards advertising alcohol and pharmaceuticals, asserting that promoting these products is necessary.
Moreover, Lebedev suggested that betting could be used as a means to evade taxes, where the origin of funds is explained by winnings from bookmakers. However, he did not provide any evidence to support this claim.
He also criticized bookmakers' investments in sports, describing them as superficial in light of the scale of their business. Notably, his studio previously developed the branding and website for the Russian bookmaker 888.ru.
