DATA.BET has shared analytical data regarding betting trends for the upcoming World Cup 2026. According to their findings, pre-match bets accounted for 63% of the total turnover, while live betting made up the remaining 37%.
Statistical markets represented over 11% of the overall turnover, with the Corners Total market emerging as the most popular statistical option, ranking 10th in total bets across all markets.
At the team level, France captured the largest share of bets, surpassing Spain, Argentina, England, and Belgium. Together, these top five teams accounted for 36.5% of the total betting volume.
The group stage featured significantly more matches and generated over 33% more bets compared to the playoff stage. However, the turnover for both stages was nearly identical.
Interestingly, the average bet during the playoff stage was 28% higher than that of the group stage. The semifinals and finals produced the highest turnover at any stage of the competition.
