In the United States, Adam Walker, the former secretary of the Los Angeles Firefighters Union (UFLAC), is facing charges for embezzling $82,900 from the union's charitable fund. According to investigators, part of the stolen funds was allegedly spent on online gambling.
The California prosecutors reported that from December 2022 to January 2024, Walker opened a fund account at a credit union, naming himself as the sole administrator, and transferred money to his personal accounts.
Furthermore, the prosecution claims that between June 2024 and July 2025, Walker forged expense receipts totaling $6,200 to conceal the embezzlement from auditors. This case was announced on June 17 by the California prosecutor's office in conjunction with the Los Angeles District Attorney's office. Walker is charged with theft and forgery, and the court will determine his guilt.
