In Brazil, the iGaming operator Pixbet has been put up for sale amid ongoing regulatory challenges, as reported by NЕХТ.io citing multiple sources.
Previously, a juvenile court in the city of Campina Grande ordered the operator to suspend betting due to insufficient age verification technologies, including facial recognition. An appeal to the Court of Justice of the state of Paraíba was rejected. However, according to observations from the publication, Pixbet has not ceased its betting operations.
According to a local expert, the operator was one of the few licensees whose operations were temporarily suspended by the SPA regulator.
There is no official confirmation of the sale, and the operator has not responded to the publication's inquiries.
