The Brazilian tax authority, Receita Federal, has introduced new regulations for reporting income tax for the year 2025. Notably, it has categorized fixed-odds betting income (apostas fixas) as a separate category.
Taxpayers are now required to declare these earnings, as well as the remaining balances in their gaming accounts with iGaming operators as of December 31, 2025.
The declaration period will run from March 23 to May 29, with an expectation of 44 million declarations being submitted.
