BloxFlip, a Roblox-based casino, has resumed operations under new ownership after being closed for a year and a half. This news was reported on May 27 by Sky News, who learned about the reopening through a promotional letter from BloxFlip itself.
The casino was initially shut down in December 2024 following an investigation by Sky News that highlighted several casinos targeting children on the Roblox platform. These establishments were accepting bets in the in-game currency Robux and items, with the potential to withdraw winnings in cryptocurrency. BloxFlip announced its closure less than 36 hours after the investigation was published.
Additionally, Sky News reported that another Roblox casino, Rollbet, which had over 35,500 members in its Discord channel, has announced an indefinite closure. The reasons cited include operational difficulties, ethical concerns, and personal issues among staff.
