Bally's has officially reopened its casino located within The Gate complex in the heart of Newcastle, marking it as the company's primary establishment in the UK market.
This reopening follows a significant investment in redesigning the interior and enhancing gaming options. Operating now under the Bally's brand, the venue offers fresh gaming experiences and entertainment features in a central city location.
The Newcastle casino aims to serve as a vibrant nightlife hub, providing gaming, sports viewing, and dining options.
Inside, guests can find a variety of slot machines, live gaming tables, and 38 electronic roulette terminals, along with a dedicated poker room.
The property boasts 44 screens that broadcast live sports events, featuring designated viewing areas and large screens for sports programming.
Dining options at the casino include an American diner-style menu available from lunchtime until 3:00 a.m. Additionally, the venue will present live entertainment every weekend. Guests can enjoy free parking, and the property plans to operate 24 hours a day starting the evening of March 14.
Launch night festivities will feature a complimentary drinks reception with canapés, live music, and introductory sessions for table games. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in cocktail-making activities during the event.
The night will culminate with a prize draw at 9:00 p.m., where the grand prize is a trip for two to Las Vegas or a cash alternative. Other prizes include free bets and cash giveaways.
Visitors can sign up for Bally's membership during the event, which is free and offers access to promotional deals and other incentives.
David Tait, General Manager of Bally's Casino Newcastle, expressed excitement about the reopening, stating, “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the Bally’s brand to Newcastle and re-launching our first UK flagship venue in such a vibrant city. Having overseen this amazing refurb, I can genuinely say it is phenomenal.”
Following the reopening, Bally's intends to organize a series of promotional events and activities at the venue, including daily competitions, sports-themed events linked to live broadcasts, and prize promotions like the “Grab a Grand” giveaway. The venue will also host an event with former Newcastle United goalkeeper Shay Given on March 21, featuring a live Q&A session. Regular events, member promotions, and prize draws will be part of the ongoing programming.
Bally's Corp. is already present in the UK through its online interactive business and considers the acquisition of its first land-based casino in the UK a crucial step in its global expansion.
