Australia's ACMA Fines Dabble $762K for Breaching Self-Exclusion Rules

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has imposed a hefty fine of $762,000 on the operator Dabble. This penalty was announced on September 16, 2023, due to serious violations of self-exclusion regulations.

Dabble was found to have 157 open accounts belonging to players listed in the national self-exclusion register. In addition to this, the operator sent out 839 promotional messages to 165 of these self-excluded players.

This action by ACMA highlights the ongoing commitment to responsible gambling practices and the importance of adhering to regulations designed to protect vulnerable individuals.
