As of May 8, Canada’s Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) has recorded 79 active registrations for the launch of its regulated iGaming market, set for July 13, 2026.
The AGLC has categorized applicants into four groups. Here are the key details:

It’s important to note that the number of registrations does not directly correspond to the number of brands. One AGLC registration can cover multiple brands (for instance, Caesars has three, Football 1 x 2 has four, and PointsBet has two), while one group can submit several separate registrations under different brands (Super Group submitted six). Additionally, Evolution submitted two applications through Maltese entities, and Light & Wonder also submitted two through Canadian and British entities.
