The World Series of Poker (WSOP) broadcasts will feature an innovative AI tool designed to assess the likelihood of bluffing based on player behavior at the table. According to reports from Sportico, this model analyzes past player performances, their posture, and even blinking frequency to identify patterns that are often unnoticed by the average viewer.
Importantly, the AI analysis will only be shown for players who have already been eliminated, reviewing their played hands to ensure that the model's conclusions do not influence real-time gameplay.
This year marks the WSOP's return to ESPN for the first time since 2021. The teleproduction of the WSOP is now managed by Omaha Productions, a company owned by former NFL player Peyton Manning. The AI tool was developed by independent engineer Luke Gill, who spent approximately six months on its creation.
