The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has mandated internet service providers to block 12 iGaming operator websites. This action follows violations of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.
The blocked sites include popular names such as 7Signs, Donbet, Duospin, Freshbet, Slots Gem, Jacks Club, Lucky Start, Pointsbet.com, Chromabet.org, Spinrise, Vinyl Casino, and Wildsino.
According to the regulator, Pointsbet.com and Chromabet.org were found to be copying the brands of legal operators in the country, PointsBet and ChromaBet, which further justified the enforcement action.
