The American Gaming Association has commenced the nomination process for the 2026 class of the Gaming Hall of Fame, celebrating over three decades of honoring key contributors to the gaming industry.
Each year, the Hall of Fame acknowledges the achievements of executives and innovators whose efforts have significantly influenced the sector. An independent panel of industry experts will assess the nominations, considering candidates' career milestones, community engagement, and their role in fostering innovation within the industry.
To qualify, nominees must showcase a proven history of advancing the gaming field, along with substantial contributions outside of business, which may include civic, charitable, or cultural endeavors. Innovation plays a crucial role in this selection process, with candidates expected to have introduced transformative ideas or leadership that have positively impacted the industry.
Nominations should include the nominee's complete name, mailing address, email address, and a written statement of up to 500 words explaining why the individual merits induction. The submission deadline is set for May 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
The Gaming Hall of Fame remains a standard for excellence in both land-based and online gaming. In 2025, three individuals were inducted, representing various sectors of the industry.
David Berman, Co-Head of Macquarie Capital, was honored for his significant contributions to gaming investments and advisory services, shaping high-level financial strategies within the sector.
Ann Simmons Nicholson, Founder and CEO of The Simmons Group, received recognition for her enduring impact on executive search and leadership development in gaming, playing a vital role in mentoring and placing top talent in the industry.
Charles Lombardo, former Senior Vice President of Gaming Operations at Seminole Hard Rock Gaming, was acknowledged for his operational expertise and extensive experience managing casino operations at one of the leading gaming companies in the United States.
The 2026 inductees will be informed prior to the official announcement, which is anticipated in the summer of 2026.
